David Boyd
Jacksonville, Fla. As a young man, he won the National Pee Wee Championship in 1954 and 1956, and the 1959 Florida State High School Championship. He was runner-up in the 1959 Southern Amateur. While at the University of Georgia, he was a member of the SEC Championship teams 1961-1963, won the SEC Individual Championship in 1962, and was team captain in 1962. He was selected to the NCAA All American Golf Team 1961-1962. He was runner-up in both the Southern Amateur and the Georgia State Amateur in 1963. He was a member of the USGA Executive Committee from 1994-1997, a member of the USGA Nominating Committee in 1990, and was a director of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame. He is past president of Peachtree Golf Club.

January 8, 2005.
