Emory Lee
Emory Lee was born in Felton, Ga., on January 13, 1929. After serving in the Marine Corps for eight years, Mr. Lee served as the Head Golf Professional at Canongate I for 32 years before his retirement in 1996. Mr. Lee's impressive golf wins include: the 1955 All Marine Championship, the Georgia State Open, and the Georgia PGA Championship. He also won the Georgia Senior Open twice. In addition, Mr. Lee participated in the PGA Senior Championship 10 times, qualified for the U.S. Senior Open three times, and played in the 1968 U.S. Open. Mr. Lee served as president of the Georgia PGA from 1977 to 1979. He was named Georgia PGA Golf Professional of the Year in 1973, and again in 1977. Emory Lee passed away on January 22, 2008 at the age of 79.

Emory Lee was inducted into the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame on January 11, 2003.
